Diana Davidson has been a leader and source of deep knowledge and quiet warmth to many Cherokee citizens living in the Pacific Northwest. After successfully running her business, Battle Ground Apothecary, for 14 years, Diana merged her love of plants and medicine with our Cherokee heritage and stories and started a seed exchange for Mt. Hood Cherokees based on our Cherokee Seed Bank. As her website says, her "business pays homage to the many generations of women who not only tended to the health of their families but preserved their knowledge for future generations." Diana's spirit is a gift to the plants she tends, to the people she shares her knowledge with, and to continuing to keep us all connected to one another and to

a healthier natural world.  As she said in an issue of Talking Leaves, "Everything grown here is done with positive intent, love, and ceremony." In addition to sharing her wisdom with her own children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, the broader Mt. Hood Cherokee community and beyond have been lucky enough to learn from her writing, her teaching, and her living by example.
